Dear colleagues, dear friends,
As we are already nearing the year-end, we want to share some of the exciting developments at Aviabel in the last months. As part AXIS Capital, our ratings have improved one notch, from A- to A. Aviabel will become a Lloyd’s coverholder by January 1, 2018, in addition to our European underwriting and other reinsurance capabilities, increasing our international reach. In 2018, we will also come up with new coverage and insurance solutions for our aviation clients, including for non-aviation risks.
Our core mission remains to provide aviation clients in Europe and worldwide with top class service for their aviation activity, taking emerging risks into account. For that, we need to maintain a sound and profitable activity across the cycle. In this edition we provide you with our views on the latest aviation insurance pricing trends. We also discuss the specific liability insurance for drones, a booming trend in the aerospace world.
Above all, we wish you a good and fruitful end of the year 2017, a very merry Christmas and Happy 2018!

But their use is highly regulated and for certain types, insurance is mandatory. Underwriter Sébastien Leroy explains the solutions that Aviabel offers for insuring drones.
